Model airplanes
Nitro-powered, built and tuned by hand. Engineering at a scale where you are the pilot, the mechanic and the incident review — and where every mistake is immediately, expensively visible.
Movies
Properly, in a cinema, with the lights down. Two hours of somebody else’s problem, told well.
Family & friends
The part that never needed a strategy. Long meals, long conversations, and the people who knew me before any of the job titles.
